I am a non-partisan, but I tend to rank in the Libertarian sector on political compass questionnaires, which I tend to agree with, which leads me to wonder: would most Americans actually be Libertarians if they understood what that means and if the two party system could be stopped, or even if the Libertarian party could get it together and actually get some publicity, organization or even a reasonable candidate? I think it's possible if not even probable that most "centrist" Americans are actually closet or uninformed Libertarians in training.

I sure have neglected my pub friends, I hope that the staff were friendly while I've been away on a "vacation" of sorts. Things have been pretty crazy, amazing and interesting. Now I'm just contemplating whether or not to attend my high school reunion. I'm not one of those folks that "peaked" in high school so I'm not really attached to the idea of it, but there will definitely be some amazing people there and some others that I'm not necessarily looking forward to running into...I have a decision to make here and I could simply not go and not care or challenge myself. Decisions, Decisions! Well I'm going to ponder this over a bourbon and cola, and then possibly a MERRY's Pearl Harbor Martini and come to a decision. I find it very telling that Dr. Paul has only changed his position on one issue since this was shot when he last ran for the Presidency almost 20 years ago. The change is that he now no longer supports the death penalty due to DNA advances and seeing innocent people having been convicted in the past. Reporter and radio show host Alex Jones was arrested in NYC during a 9-11 truth protest. The scary part is, was this done because he was breaking the law (by using a megaphone) or because of WHO he is? Although this site has been posting a great deal of support for Ron Paul, it is noteworthy to state that there are other candidates that deserve some respect. {Remember , this writer is NOT a Republican, I am fiercely non-partisan. However, I AM considering changing affiliation to vote for RP in the primary. I don;t agree with everything that RP stands for, but I am willing to make sacrifices (as I am NOT a one issue voter) for the greater good of SAVING MY COUNTRY!}

Dennis Kucinich (D)- I love him (he's the Rep from our district in C-town) and he is a bit batty, but he is honest and believes in love and a lot of the same things that Ron Paul does, just from a Dem POV. I like that he is also for gay-rights, and still has ideas about getting out of NAFTA etc. I just don;t see him as a president, but as a great speaker and Rep.

Mike Gravel (D)- honest and is not afraid to speak his mind! Older seasoned man with great ideas.

On prisonplanet.com interview he alleged that 9-11 was an inside job (no real news there) and that the Rockefellers were in on it as well as the CFR. They want to put forth the NAU and they would ultimately like to chip all of us with RFID to have instant control over us via money. He also stated that the women's lib movement was sponsored financially via the Rockefellers to bring more people into the workforce to tax them higher (money directly to the Fed Reserve- also in the elite banker's control) and to break up the stability of the family to ensure that children look to the education system for their information and trust, which could be easily manipulated. Seven Lucky Leggy Legs

Apparently a cat named Oscar, who lives at a nursing home in Providence, RI, can sense when patients will die. This cat apparently visits patients just before they die and stays in the room until they do. Oscar has reportedly done this at least 25 times, making his behavior a reliable predictor. He is also reported to not want to leave the room with the dying person. When family members have requested to have Oscar removed, he is known to pace at the door intently and reportedly gets emotional.

Besides taking land by eminent domain for the super-highway (which will be owned by a Spanish company named Cintra directly linked to Giuliani- follow the link below the video for more on this)...besides changing the US currency to a 3-country "Amero" currency...and besides NOT having elected officials controlling the NAU, therefore being appointed by extremely wealthy special interest groups (dare I say Illuminati?) US sovereignty will be compromised and the NAU will be able to trump the laws or constitution of the three countries AT WILL, making our rights null and void...this is very scary folks! I am all for REAL fair and free trade and global togetherness, BUT WITH ACCOUNTABILITY and LIBERTY intact! Judge for yourself, this is a very important video!

But a lesser-known aspect of that issue may garner support from an important segment: farmers.
Last month, The Economist focused on the fight by Iowa farmers to get the right to grow the cannabis plant to produce industrial hemp, which can provide cheaper alternatives for paper, plastics, and one of the healthiest food oils available. On the political side, the article explains "Ron Paul, a Texas congressman and presidential candidate, could win over farmers in Iowa because of his pro-hemp lobbying. In February he introduced a bill in Congress that would allow Americans to grow it."
Today's New York Times has an article about North Dakota farmers wanting to get in on the hemp boom:
Though federal authorities ban the growing of hemp, saying it contains tetrahydrocannabinol, the psychoactive substance better known as THC in marijuana, six states this year considered legislation to allow farmers to grow industrial hemp, and Representative Ron Paul, Republican of Texas, introduced a bill in Washington that would let states allow such crops."
